Bike Repairs

Our own 'Dr Bike' workshop is on the 1st Saturday of the month in the Queen's Park north car park 09.30 - 13.00 March - October. Free checks, adjustments and repairs - just pay for any parts used.

For more extensive repairs contact our instructor Simon who runs Brampton Cyclery.

'Active Travel'

We love the Dutch attitude to cycling - just incorporate cycling into your everyday life! Unfortunately the sort of bikes often sold in UK shops often don't encourage this! For everyday cycling its useful to have mudguards, reliable lights and a way of carrying luggage, and a good lock.

We are always happy to advise on using bikes as transport and have a vast knowledge of equipment and what works in an everyday environment.

Derbyshire County Council fund 8 hours of adult cycle training to help you feel more confident on your bike. Chesterfield has a growing network of traffic free cycle paths with a north - south Dronfield to Clay Cross route being constructed (slowly!). Don't forget the Trans Pennine Trail alongside the Chesterfield canal and the Hipper & Holmebrook Trails running out to the west of the town. The Hipper Valley Trail will be extended to Holymoorside at some point.
